Agreement Signed Between Assam Agricultural University and North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi)

Assam Agricultural University (AAU), a premier institution dedicated to agricultural research, education, and extension, has entered into a strategic partnership with the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) to conduct a diagnostic study of the Biotechnology Policy for the State of Assam (2022-2027). This collaboration aims to evaluate the current policy framework, identify gaps, and propose recommendations for its effective implementation to bolster biotechnology-based initiatives in Assam.

On 4th December 2024, Professor Bidyut Kumar Sarmah, Director of DBT-NECAB, and an esteemed faculty member of Assam Agricultural University, signed the agreement on behalf of AAU. The formal signing ceremony marked the commencement of this collaborative project between AAU and NEDFi.
