কৃষি সম্পৰ্কিত সমস্যাসমূহত এক বিজ্ঞানসন্মত সমাধানৰ প্ৰয়োজন। জলবায়ু পৰিৱৰ্তনৰ পৰিপ্ৰেক্ষিতত কৃষকসকলক বিজ্ঞানৰ সৈতে সজাগ কৰাৰ প্ৰয়োজনীয়তা আহি পৰিছে। কৃষকৰ তথ্যসম্ভাৰ এক ভাৰ্চুৱেল প্লেটফৰ্ম (Virtual platform) হ'ব য'ত কৃষক আৰু বিজ্ঞানীসকলে আলাপ আলোচনাৰ মাধ্যমেৰে কৃষিৰ সমস্যাবোৰ সমাধান কৰিব।

কৃষি জৈৱ প্ৰযুক্তি বিদ্যা বিভাগ উত্তৰ-পূব কেন্দ্ৰ (DBT-NECAB) ৰ পৰা আমি এনে এক উদ্যোগ গ্ৰহণ কৰিছো যে উত্তৰ পূৰ্বাঞ্চলৰ চুকে কোণে থকা বা দুৰ্গম অঞ্চলৰ কৃষকসকলৰ মাজত বিজ্ঞানসন্মত কথা বতৰাবোৰ লৈ যোৱাৰ। আৰম্ভণিতে আমি মাজুলীৰ বিজয় চাপৰিৰ ৩০ গৰাকী মহিলা কৃষকক লৈছো আৰু পৰ্যায়ক্ৰমে আমি যোৰহাটৰ অন্যান্য অঞ্চললৈ প্ৰসাৰ কৰা হ'ব । এই মাধ্যমেৰে পঞ্জীয়ন কৰা কৃষকসকলক সময়ে সময়ে বিভিন্ন সম্পদ আৰু সাহায্য প্ৰদান কৰা হ'ব যাতে বিজ্ঞানসন্মত কৃষি পদ্ধতি সুনিশ্চিত হয়।

Farm issues demand scientific solutions. Climate-change calls for a close connection between farmers and science. The Farmer Database is a virtual platform for farmers and scientists to interact and resolve farm issues.The DBT-NECAB attempts to strengthen farmers of the North Eastern Region (NER) by making science reachable to farmers even in the remote corners of the region. We have started with thirty women farmers from Bijoy Chapori, Majuli and will expand to other areas of Jorhat district. Resource materials will also be provided to the registered farmers from time to time to assist them scientifically.

We conduct awareness programmes on various aspects of climate change and agriculture. We record the details of farmers and include them in our database. The farmers may now post in their queries which will be communicated to our experts. The responses of the experts will be communicated back to the farmers.
